Certified Nurse Midwife, and Family Nurse Practitioner

I have always had a passion for Moms and Babies. After graduating from college, I was an RN
for 13 years and able to work in a hospital serving postpartum moms and their newborns. Once
I had 3 children of my own, I went back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. For
over 8 years I enjoyed serving in Family Medicine. In 2015, I had an opportunity to go on a
medical mission trip to provide prenatal, postpartum and newborn care to families at a birth
center for the poor in the Philippines. After that experience, I knew that I wanted to become a
Nurse Midwife. In 2020, I received my Post Graduate Certificate in Midwifery from Frontier
Nursing University and became a Certified Nurse Midwife. I am so honored and thankful to
have the opportunity to serve families on this sacred journey. I truly believe that women are
powerful and amazing. I desire to protect and support physiologic birth and empower women
during all stages of their lives. I am known to be gentle, nurturing, and compassionate. My
sons would add that I can also be a strong and protective Momma Bear. I enjoy reading, going
on coffee dates, tennis, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with my family. My husband and I
moved from the Midwest out to California in order for me to work at the California Birth
Center. We have been married for 26 years and have 3 grown sons and 2 daughters-in-law.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
