Lisa Rawson, LM, CPM
Lisa Rawson, LM, CPM started her midwifery path in 1995 at the age of 19. She is a Licensed Midwife in California, Oregon and Colorado states and is a NARM Certified Professional Midwife. Through her years of training and midwifing she’s attended many births and families in various capacities and settings. In 2014 she became licensed by the Medical Board of California and began her full time busy home birth practice in beautiful Mendocino County. In November 2021 she began traveling to work in birth centers, teaching, speaking at conferences, private consulting with midwives, birth centers and students around the country. She is a frequent clinic and on-call midwife at CBC and she loves working with the team here.
Lisa enjoys bringing humor and attentive instinct to any place she gives service to families. She believes that birth works in a myriad of ways and the relationship between mother and child is sacred. The family unit is in a time of great transition growing and welcoming a new member in. It’s a time of learning and adjusting. Families need support and midwifery work is a social justice act of service. Lisa and her husband of many years moved to California in 2008. Two years later, she had her fifth child and adopted her nieces and nephew in 2011, rounding out her family to four girls and four boys.
