Kylee Leavitt

Student Midwife & Midwife Assistant

Student midwife Kylee joins us for her clinical midwifery training. “Some of my earliest memories are of attending my mother’s prenatal appointments while she was pregnant with my younger siblings. At the birth of my brother I remember asking the midwife, ‘Where’s all the blood and guts?’ and being fascinated when she showed me the placenta. Throughout my life I have felt called to midwifery and God has directed me down this path.

“Women and families should always have safe options for how they want to bring their babies into the world and feel loved and supported in their desires and choices. I feel blessed and honored to be a part of your story and to learn and serve at California Birth Center. I am currently attending Mercy in Action College of Midwifery to obtain a BS in Midwifery and become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I am certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and CPR/BLS.

“Prior to beginning my journey in midwifery I worked in the financial sector for seven years, and previously helped manage an organic farm in Nevada. I’m a passionate gardener and my husband and I have recently embarked on the life-long dream of starting a small homestead. We live in Lincoln with our sheep, chickens, and donkey – and I have officially become a crazy sheep lady.”
